Land transaction: Platinum Ranch
Centurion American Development Group has assembled nearly 2,000 acres in Grayson County, exemplifying the development boom heading north toward the Red River.
Centurion worked with Rex Glendenning and lenders including Liberty Bankers Insurance Group, UBank and Chambers Bank. The resulting Platinum Ranch master-planned community in Gunter is expected to have more than 4,200 single-family lots, plus 29 acres of villas and three amenity centers. Playgrounds, sports courts, park space and trails are also being considered. Three sites have been set aside for schools, while plans also call for 270 acres of future mixed-use space.
Builders including DR Horton, Lennar, First Texas Homes and Coventry Homes have already been tapped for the single-family portion. Construction started in this year's first quarter and the first lots should be delivered to builders in mid-2027 for what will be one of the largest MPCs in Grayson County.
